CRITERIA

The AOC Strategic Roost awards education grants (usually money for books) in the form of cash payments to active duty enlisted personnel. These payments will be allocated primarily to students majoring in any of the following areas: Electrical Engineering, other “hard science” engineering curricula, Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. However, course work outside these criteria, from any accredited college or university leading to a degree will also be considered. Selections are made by the AOC Board of Directors. $1000 is available per semester with a maximum payment of $200 per student/per semester—first come, first served based on date of submission (assuming basic qualifications are met).

PROCEDURES

1. Print and complete the application with Commander or First Sergeant Certification.
2. Provide proof of enrollment in any accredited college or university.
3. Provide proof of book cost from the college bookstore or other authorized source, (paid receipt preferred). Statement/receipt should verify course number/title as shown on the application.
